After Naftia‘s disbandment, Sonia (drums – vocals) together with Stelios (bass – vocals) and Giorgos (guitar – vocals) formed Athiganoi tou Sympantos. (Stateless in the universe). Hardcore punk with elements of reggae-ska in some tracks. They were active from 1997 to 2001 and released a demo tape and a split LP with the Austrian Knallkopf, while in the last year of the band’s existence the second Giorgos was added (guitar – vocals).
Labyrinth of Thoughts is releasing “Oi zontanes mas outopies” (“Our living utopias”) album. Vinyl edition of 300 copies at a special selling price of €19 + postage. The release will not be available in record stores, at the request of the band.
The first side of the LP contains 6 demo tracks straight from the basements of the label and the band, while the second side contains the 4 tracks of the split album.
The LP contains the lyrics as well as a 4-page insert with text in Greek and English, in which an overall depiction of the current state of war capitalism is attempted and the necessity and importance of the social resistances that the self-organized, struggle communities project over time to it are underlined. In this text, the group also clarifies that part of the revenue from the circulation of this particular LP will be allocated to the occupied refugee community of Alexandras Street in Athens, as a reinforcement of the struggle of their residents against the plans of the Municipality of Athens to make them homeless, while destroying this living example of an anti-hierarchical and anti-commercial organized coexistence.
